Artist's Comments

A commision done for a company that is being set up, [link] . Credit to Dr. Gregory Hall, Phd. for directing my sketches, bringing me to this composition. The hydra is Eric Brown's concept. Linked to the Tao, yin/yang, and the significance of the image is to convey how infinitely small we are when compared with the vastness of the universe. To quote Greg, "There is no control, only chaos! Control is an illusion".

Long long hours in this one, (started end of feb) but it was great fun, and I learnt qutie alot doing it. Size is 7000x7000 px. Check out full view, I'll post some closeups later.

Wow.
That's excellent, so much detail has been put into it. I love the shapes they make, the way they seem to curl around visciously. Very nice work, the border and background go very nicely with it - You have an amazing talent for this, and though this is the only piece of work by you that I've seen, its really lovely. Great job, they seem almost real.

wow why in the world isn't this recognized more? it's really awesome, so much movement... i love the wild circular composition too. you're damn good!
